Former Governor of New Hampshire - Panelist Blurb

John Henry Sununu of Salem, New Hampshire recently formed JHS Associates, Ltd., a consulting firm and is currently co-host of CNN's Crossfire. Governor Sununu served as Counselor to the President. He was commissioned Chief of Staff on January 21, 1989 and served in the White House until March 1, 1992.

After playing an influential role in President Bush's New Hampshire Primary victory in 1988, the Governor served as National Co-Chairman of the Bush-Quayle campaign. During the general election, the Governor became one of the most active surrogate speakers on the campaign trail.

Sununu became New Hampshire's 93rd Governor in 1983 and served three consecutive terms prior to joining the White House staff.

Sununu attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the undergraduate and graduate level and earned his PH.D. there in 1966 in Mechanical Engineering. He and his wife Nancy Hayes have eight children.
