Jean-Michel Cousteau
Marine environmentalist, film and TV producer
Marine environmentalist, architect, film producer, and son of Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel has spent his life exploring the world's oceans and communicating to people his love and concern for the planet.
He directed the design and development of the Parc Oceanique Cousteau in Paris, which introduces new ways of teaching visitors about the ocean realm without captive animals. During the 1960's he organized the award-winning television film series, The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau, which began his relationship with educational film programming, including Cousteau's Rediscovery of the World.
He is a founding member and Vice President of Equipe Cousteau, The Cousteau Society's sister company in France.
