Gerry Spence
Acclaimed Trial Lawyer
Gerry Spence (b. January 8, 1929, Laramie, Wyoming) is a trial lawyer in the United States. In 2008, he announced he would retire, at age 79, at the end of the Geoffrey Fieger trial in Detroit, MI. Spence famously claims to have "never lost a criminal case either as a prosecutor or a defense attorney. He has not lost a civil case since 1969." However, Spence lost a criminal case in a bench trial but prevailed on appeal.
