The Connecticut YOUTH Forum
Learn it. Live it. Pass it on!
Everyone can join!
Currently 40 Schools and over 750 students are involved...are you?
The mission of the Connecticut YOUTH Forum is to bring youth together through discussion and action while providing opportunities for growth and exploration as an individual and as part of a diverse community. The YOUTH Forum is a program for high school aged youth who get together to exchange ideas and learn about each other.
When and where does it meet?
The YOUTH Forum meets monthly during the school year at a variety of schools. In addition to the regular monthly meetings, those youth who want to participate in the Leadership Network meet monthly as well, at the Connecticut Forum offices in Hartford.
Further, YOUTH Forum members attend a variety of college and workplace visits, cultural events and conferences. Once a year, YOUTH Forum members gather for a full day at the Student Exchange Event.
What happens at YOUTH Forum meetings?
Imagine having an intimate and open conversation with a close friend. At YOUTH Forum Monthly Meetings...you can have more than 200 close friends! By embracing the YOUTH Forum Culture of mutual respect, an environment of trust and caring is created allowing members to talk about what is on their mind and what is important to them without fear, shame, or embarrassment.
