In this rare public appearance, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer will talk with moderator Norah O'Donnell about his life, career, and more than two decades in the Supreme Court.

The evening will include a moderated conversation and an audience question and answer session. All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Justice Breyer's book, The Court and the World: American Law and the New Global Realities.

NOTE: There will be no intermission at this Forum.


About Stephen Breyer
Stephen Breyer is a graduate of Stanford, Oxford, and Harvard Law School. He taught law for many years as a professor at Harvard Law School and at the Kennedy School of Government.  He has also worked as a Supreme Court law clerk (for Justice Arthur Goldberg), a Justice Department lawyer (antitrust division), an Assistant Watergate Special Prosecutor, and Chief Counsel of the Senate Judiciary Committee (working closely with Senator Edward M. Kennedy to pass the Airline Deregulation Act). He was appointed Supreme Court Justice by President Clinton in 1994. Read more...
