Tig Notaro

Stand-up Comedian, Actor & Writer - Panelist Blurb

Tig Notaro is a comedian, actor and writer who is known for her deadpan comic delivery. She has received Grammy nominations for her 2016 HBO comedy special, Tig Notaro: Boyish Girl Interrupted, and for her 2012 comedy album, Tig Notaro Live. Rolling Stone named her one of the 50 best stand-up comics of all time.

A Mississippi native, Notaro started her comedy career in the late 1990s in Los Angeles, performing stand-up and appearing in guest spots on TV shows including The Sarah Silverman Program, Community, and The Office.

In 2013, just days after being diagnosed with invasive bilateral breast cancer, Notaro delivered a powerful live performance. The stand-up set became a best-selling comedy album, Tig Notaro Live, for which Notaro received a Grammy Award nomination.

Notaro currently writes, produces and stars in the semi-autobiographical Amazon series, One Mississippi.  Season 1 yielded several nominations including WGA, GLAAD and The Critic’s Choice Awards.  She has also received a GLAAD Award nomination for the Netflix Original Documentary Tig, and her memoir, I’m Just a Person, is a New York Times Bestseller.

Notaro remains a favorite on late night talk shows, public radio, tours around the world regularly and most recently sold out Carnegie Hall.
In her time off, she enjoys bird watching with her wife Stephanie, their twin sons and cat Fluff, at home in Los Angeles.
